The map of the Country of Sweetness 

Lisore's cousin Nastasie, who boasts of being «a Precious», mentions it.

It is a topographic and allegorical representation of the Country of Love, imagined by Mademoiselle de Scudéry (1607 - 1701), french writer, during a discussion with the man of letters Paul Pellisson, who courted her for several months.

This map represents an imaginary land where the pretender has to find the road of the heart of his lady, by investigating the kingdom of Sweetness to make a sort of initiatory journey there.
